Private Reiki Level 1 Course: Introductory/Beginner - One To One Training
On this intensive one day one to one course, your training is tailored to you. You will learn how to help initiate healing for yourself, friends and family; Reiki for relaxation, stress management and in your meditation practice and how to easily incorporate Reiki techniques into your everyday life.

Cost: £195. Herbal tea refreshments and light snacks are provided. Lunch is not provided.

On this private one to one course, your learning is tailored for you. Whether you are looking to learn Reiki for yourself, your family and friends, to use in your meditation or exercise practice, either as a participant or as a yoga or mindfulness teacher, or incorporating aspects of Reiki into your working life, we will explore all aspects of Reiki and how to you use it for your own specific practices. Social distancing and close contact measures will be respected.
You will learn how to use Reiki energy for yourself, friends and family, Reiki for relaxation and stress management and how to include Reiki techniques simply and easily into every day. You will receive your Reiki Level 1 attunement, course companion manual and a certificate on completion of the day's training.
You will discover:
- A brief history of Usui Reiki
- An introduction to energy vortices (chakras)
- Grounding and auric protection techniques
- Daily mantras and an introduction to Usui Reiki principles
- How to prepare a healing space for your Reiki practice
- How to share Reiki and the importance of energy exchange
- Hand positions for self treatment
- Hand positions for sharing Reiki with friends and family
- Practice session of Reiki self treatment and sharing Reiki with others
- Different uses for Reiki including meditation and mindfulness practice, sharing with plants and animals and Earth healing
- Using Reiki with food and drinks
Refreshments and Lunch
Herbal tea refreshments, water and light snacks are available throughout the day. Lunch is not provided - there is a small Tesco, sandwich shop and cafe and a Subway food outlet a few minutes walk from the venue but ofcourse you are welcome to bring your own lunch.
Please note that it cannot be guaranteed that the refreshements and light snacks will exclude all allergens in their preparation/cooking/serving. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, it is recommended to arrange for your own personal provision of refreshments and snacks.
It is essential to avoid alcohol and recreational substances on the day of the course, and is advisable to avoid alcohol, recreational substances, coffee and heavy meals the night before the day of the course. If you can’t forego your morning coffee on the day of the course, not to worry!
What to Bring
A pen and notepad are useful to bring if you would like to take notes. The course is more practical in nature and a study manual outlining what you will learn during the course is provided but please feel free to add any notes you feel will help you. Otherwise, you need only bring yourself, an open heart and your enthusiasm!

There is only 1 ticket available as it is a one to one course. Location and Parking
The course is held at WytchWood, a home practice and healing space in East Kilbride, close to many bus routes, with stops only a couple of minutes walk away. Hairmyres and East Kilbride train stations are around 15 - 20 minutes walk away. East Kilbride Town Centre is around 15 minutes walk and 5 minutes on the bus to the venue. There is free on street parking but please note the venue is in a quiet residential area and parking is subject to availability. Your Reiki Teacher
The course is provided by Flourish - Holistic Medicine and Healing - with a private practice based in East Kilbride and a clinic in the southside of Glasgow. The course is facilitated by Andrea Doran, Reiki Teacher, Holistic Medicine Specialist, Claircognizant & Shamanic Healer and Therapeutic Horticulturist. She has been working in the field of holistic medicine for 20 years, including holistic bodywork, energy work, plant medicine, vibrational medicine and shamanic healing ceremonies, and has had the joy of teaching and sharing Reiki for the past 15 years. Her approach is down to earth and her courses are simple yet highly effective. She believes we all have the capacity to heal and that Reiki is not a complicated skill to learn or develop - your dedicated intention and focus are requested during her intensive 1 day course so that you can begin to confidently apply the techniques as soon as your training is complete.
